Are Gs becoming common?
I think the nice weather (odd that) must bring out the Gs - I was out for only maybe 3 hours yesterday and saw SEVEN Gs. Thats more than one every half hour!
A copper 461 SWB (see this one a lot)
A gold/bronze LWB 461
A black 463 SWB
A gorgeous dark grey G500 (yes it was RHD)
Another bronze 461 LWB
A grey 463 LWB
A brand new G400 (ok this was in a MB showroom so probably doesn't count  )
And there was definitely a theme running in the copper/bronze colouring....
I was thinking the same... only the other week.
Was in London on Friday afternoon and my brother and I counted at least 4 G's. Some old, some new. But what gets me is that i don't get a wave of the hand when they see me!
Could they be jealous of Nautic Blue 463? A fellow G owner jealous? surely not!
Madferrit!
I was in monaco during the grand prix a couple weeks ago and counted 14 different ones (not inc mine) Got waved at by every one, even by the owners of 'New ones'
My kids were G spotting all day they are a great ice breaker as they talk to anyone especially my son Tyler who is G mad... So much so he went up to a Land Rover Defender driver and said "How many times you broken down, since you had this"
"HOLE and Swallow me up" came to mind....
HA HA...
Now thats two things we can learn.. one from those nice people driving around Monaco in their G's...
and your son.
Do you think we could use him as a special advisor at a forthcoming G event? Perhaps he can show the do's and don'ts on conversing with Land Rover owners
It's sad but part of the G-Wagen community in this country is too posh to wave to lesser human beings driving the same car...
Unlike in many others where, as Greeney pointed out, you see owners of brand-new G55s waving to those of scruffy 25 year-old 240 GDs.
i guess that means there is only one thing left to do....
I'm moving to Monaco...
...just as soon as my bank manager approves my bank overdraft!

I reckon I get waves from more than 50 % of the Gs I see, but I keep out of London so maybe that's the difference.
The other night I was in Old Street (for those that don't know it, is is the place where young hip Londoners in the media and dj scene hangout) and there were these two guys in a black G. Looking very cool and very hip hop. Well too in the groove to speak to anyone.
When they saw me at an intersection they started flashing their lights, honking their horn and waving with BIG smiles like excited little children. Thus completely destroying their "cool" image. I couldn't help but smile.
