Anyone know this 460?

Looks lovely to my untrained eye and may be worth a phone call!
£18K for a manual oil burner
Seems strong to me.
I'm offering this one, in Dublin, on Irish ZV plates, tax €56 pa.

My favourite G colour!
Silchester are specialist in restoring Mercs. If you have the time worth a look around. Went round with old member Maxwell Smart, as they do a fine SL Pagoda restoration. They loved my G and have done a few restorations. Quality work, the ones I have seen that come up are always at the upper end of £18+K. Not met any members that have owned one though.

Silchester garage had it advertised for over a yr for £16k
Don't forget to factor in the Vehicle Registration Tax if your importing to Ireland. I had recent experience with the boys in the tax office on an import and specifically how the VRT is calculated for a G Wagon of similar vintage. So few of them in Ireland, there is no passenger G Wagon on the Revenue Site only commercials, so they look up what they call the 'market value'. I think its based on the average selling price of a similar year / model vehicle on that particular day dependent on which revenue officer is doing the looking. I rang the revenue office multiple times speaking to a different inspector each time getting a different answer each time. I got there in the end and agreed a fair value for VRT purposes.
My only other advise on buying a G is to be super careful. A good one is worth the money and highly reliable. Get a problem G and it can cost you the purchase price again to put right. Not many good ones in Ireland - but if your looking for a 460, not sure why you would go past Eddie' Needamerc Dublin G.
Either way, best of luck with the buying. Highly recommended ownership.
Good Advice
Like the look of this one too but slightly out of budget.....
