I am taking my G320 CDI off the road to sort out some niggling problems. It has been a bit of a money pit for the last few weeks so I am going to do everything properly. Just want some cheap but fun wheels with a towbar for a few months.I don't want to put too many miles on the Discovery before I sell it in September. There a a few around but always at the other end of the country.

Whoa no I am looking for some cheap wheels while I sort my G or go for a big petrol. A sub 6K ml is what I am looking for. Towing a trailer and being a general workhorse while I build a new house.

Re: Anyone got an ML55 to sell

I have a W163 2002 ML500 with LPG for last 2 years

14-17 mpg, 12-14 towing.. lpg makes that more like 26-28 mpg in costs which for a 300hp 2t SUV is not bad.

So can you stand the fuel costs? The ML500 takes an LPG tank under car but you need to weld/tweak the removable tow bar if you want the 3.5t towing limit (the fixed ones are only 2t limit). The ML55 has a bigger exhaust so cannot take the lpg tank under so it ends up in the boot. It also has the body kit that covers the wheel arches and likely hides rust in the longer term. Talking of which I had a to pull the full tank out (means dropping rear subframe and is a real pain) as the rust was getting into the floor pan. Anyway for a short term toy maybe not an issue .. buy from London/south or the rust will get to you. Oh tyres are pricey; it will be £1k a set.. I have effectively van tyres on which are greasy but last for ever! No G in the handling stakes but more modern car.

Search on here.. Fred had an ML55 and gave his views.

14-17 seems low. My 500 was 19-21. It was a 2001.

Hello mate,

We have a nice ml350 53' plate in black if interested?

Sunroof, AC, elec/memo seats, 7-seater, auto, black leathers, tints, facelift model/bumpers, 98k. Tidy example. Full history/books manuals.

It's my wives motor, she wants a newer version.

Pm me if interested.

Gooch.

Re: Anyone got an ML55 to sell

Thanks for the offer but my plan needs a 55 which may lead to a 63 if my smile is big enough. Love the 320 CDI but the soundtrack is very bland.
