AGM - Anyone interested in a convoy?

OK - I know it's not until November 7th but wondered if anyone was interested in arriving in a G convoy?

The Heritage Motor Centre is just one and a half miles off Junction 12 of the M40 so (to me at least) an obvious setting off point would be Beaconsfield Services which is at the first junction on the M40 after leaving the M25.

The AGM starts at 11.00am but the Heritage Motor Centre opens at 10.00am so if we were to leave Beaconsfield Services at 09.00 that would/should give everyone a bit of time to have a look around all the vehicles on display.

Or maybe 09.00 is a bit early for some and the majority would rather set off a bit later and look at the cars after the AGM (I don't know how long that normally lasts).

May not appeal to everyone - after all we'd have to travel at the speed the slowest felt most comfortable with and there are those who are no doubt planning on making the journey "off road" but plenty of time for a show of interest together with any alternative suggestions/reservations/comments.

Travelling from Wales this may not work for me. However anyone staying nearby on Saturday night for a few beers, count me in!

Hi Mark

I might be able to join you…not sure yet if I can make it. I’ll let you know closer to the time. Oh and yes we might need to go slow, because the 230 is not in a rush…and if the wind come down the M40 from the West then I might end up on the eastern rather than the western side of the country.

Cheers

2 weeks to go so just bumping this up to remind anyone who might be interested.

No need to contact me or decide in advance - I will be there anyway so it will be a convoy of 1 plus whoever else turns up.

Depression setting in - the Northern chapter now say they have a 4 G convoy (and still over 1 week to go).

Surely us southerners can do better than that???

What time is the southern chapter starting to get to Beaconsfield. Can't make the AGM, but would love to meet up for a coffee and an egg McMuffin!

Re: AGM - Anyone interested in a convoy?

Subject to my alarm clock working and not too much fog en route I hope to be there no later than 8.30am but that could be 8.00am.

No need to send out the search party, just call me on 07785 713667 on the morning for a more accurate ETA or if you do want to join up but are running a bit late and want us to wait a bit.
