Adjustment system for headlights broken.
Morning.
My adjustment system for the headlights is broken, the lowest bolt is inserted into a plastic nut that is broken.
If I buy a new headlight system: http://www.ebay.at/itm/HELLA-Mercedes-G-Class-W460-W463-1979-Halogen-Scheinwerfer-links-rechts-Paar-/331475815227?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item4d2d7f8b3b
Does it come with the adjustment system as well or is that seperate?
If you buy the lights from an MB Parts Department, they come complete with mounting frame and adjustment screws (excluding hydraulic adjuster, of course).
If you buy from eBay, you'll need to check with the seller, because they may be VW golf parts, which are similar, but not quite the same.
Also, you may be able to buy just the broken adjustment screws and plastic inserts from your MB Parts Dept.
Are you also referring to the auto-level adjustment? Mine is very broken and I remember a thread here saying that there is little point in trying to fix it.
Hi, Would anyone know the part number for the broken plastic insert in the photo?
The G is 1994 300GEL
Cheers
Martin
I don't think that you can buy that separately - at least not from MB. The headlamps come with the mounting brackets attached.
Thanks Arnie, does anyone have an idea what a replacement mounting bracket might cost?
Great. Thank you.
