I'm having major woes with my autogearbox in my 606 conversion. I have been doing some light driving off road switching between low and high ratio. Car now won't go into reverse. Cant select low/ high(unless I stop the engine) and overheated the box fluid. I think it's died but am more worried about the transfer box. Will the centre difflock work if the reservoir is completely empty? Any ideas on what's up?

Can't help with the gearbox. The centre diff lock doesn't use fluid to operate, only vacuum.

My old auto G didn't like changing from H to L when stationary if the engine was running as there is still torque being transferred

Looks like I'm going for a newer 5 speed auto...it's a bit of a project but shouldn't be as bad as a 606 swap. I think the 606 power,240k miles and high rpm on the motorway finally killed it. Here's a link to the ecu that I'm using http://ofgear.dk/ .They show his brothers G350 with the kit fitted. Worth the hassle I hope.

Sorry to hear that. However, I can only add, once you have the newer 5-speed box fitted, it will drive much better than mated to an older 4-speed version.....your mileage will also improve markedly as the 'overdrive' gear is much smoother for motorway cruising. Good luck/ph

Speak to Mark Ashton about these controllers, three years and I think 4 Gs he's given up on them and gone to Six speed manual
