460 RHD clutch fluid tank and master cylinder

Hi guys !!!

I would have a picture of a 460 RHD clutch fluid tank and master cylinder, still fitted in the car.

I wonder how is it attached together, and fitted in hte engine bay.

Could anyone take a picture for me ?

Yours shows the original fittings as shown on spare parts diagram (with the bracket and the fluid tank).

Mine, as on this picture (I bought it already dismantled), has no fixing points on the pedals box for the reservoir.

And fluid inlet is thru a rubber only (I guess with a plastic elbow ?), not with a screw plus the seal and plastic elbow.

The seller does not remember if the reservoir was fixed on the fender side, or if it took the fluid from the brake reservoir ...

Anyone knows if there was TWO different types ?

The EPC photos are poor to show that rubber grommet you have because I had to replace mine and it was pure guess. Otherwise it was like Eddie's shown already but I did how some silicon arond the mounting bracket so no saying that someone had not drilled to mount the reservoir bracket. And that hose is funny 6mm stuff.. think I ended up buying 300mm from MB.

I was thinking about it .. and wondering if that is an early pedal box you got.. as mine is a 460.330 (1987 onwards?) and there was a substantial revise from the early cars. Anyway you could get the reservoir and bracket from Ma Benz for under £50 and just drill 2 holes.

Gav.. I am guessing he is doing Auto to Manual conversion with a second hand pedal box so chassis numbers will not help so much. I cannot get EPC on this PC or I would have done a quick scout around based on early models e.g a GD240 .. sure you know your way around!
