460 G Photoshoot... Peak District
Anyone want to lend their 460 for a photo shoot. Half a day in the Peak District w/c 23rd November.
It will be a backdrop in a series of pictures. A bit of fun.
Any engine/colour.
Respond here and I will put you in contact.
Lockdown?
Fair point.
Essential trip?
Either way, the gig will come back some time...
If you live close I can't see a problem, if the wipe surfaces after they've used it, windows open etc
Was this resolved? I'm in peak district, have a 460, and with lockdown not doing anything on said weekend...
Contact for ScouseG passed on to the photoshoot company. Maybe you are linked in?
If not I can pass on your details also and let them contact one of you. PM me?
Just an update
Filming all done now
It was presented by VBH from 5th gear, a blue swb 230ge was involved
It will be on ineos website (new Grenadier)in December
Check it out when it comes live
I can't say much else as I've signed the official secrets act
Talking about the Grenadier, I read that ineos are seriously looking into producing a hydrogen fuel cell powered version.
That's the future - maybe MB will go the same route for the G.
Battery's have quite short lives and use up rare lithium and other rare earth metals, the costs of these are often borne by the poorest in these countries Congo being a good example ditto Bolivia where the most plentiful Lithium is located

No worries
From what I heard it was a good two days setting up and filming there, it had previously been very wet so some cars had to be towed up there into position but it all looked good with VBH at the front of the shop
She's aging well.....
Did the Ineos move under its own power?
Also Vbh said 1979 for the G, thought a bit earlier?..
The g got to its place under it's own steam without getting stuck
Can't really say much else
Didn't Arnie have a 1000HP electric G? I mean Terminator Arnie, not GWOA Arnie.
While there is still oil coming out of the ground, I don't see the combustion engine going too far away. But I like idea of a V8 powered G without the fuel bill.
