Particularly liked reading:-

it is rather vague in terms of response as you come off centre; it is often upset by small camber changes, requiring the odd correction from time to time.

Made me feel a lot better about my 22 year old version.

I have always felt Merc were significantly ahead of the times with the amount of steering correction required driving a 460. It is of course an early form of blind spot, lane deviation and driver alertness system, all rolled into one. The constant pitching and moving serves to give you a broad almost 360 degree view of the road, ensures you constantly check the mirrors, keeps other drivers out of your movement 'envelope' and of course keeps you wide eyed and alert :-) All part of the charm..
