Hi,

For my 2003 G270 Diesel I don't have access to Mercedes coolant.  Does anyone know the spec for what coolant to use?  I looked in my manual, my DVD parts program and googled for a while and don't see the spec anywhere.

Thanks,

Steve

That's very easy. It's the same coolant as used by any other Mercedes. Today, this is a G05 (Mercedes spec) coolant, but previously it was G48, which is marginally better - at least with cast-iron blocks.

if you want to know more, look here, half way down:

in the USA, you might find this:

or just buy the normal (blue) stuff (G05) from your local MB dealer.

Some is sold ready diluted and ready to use. Others come as concentrate and require diluting 50:50 with water or distilled water, is your local water is 'hard'.
