2003 G270 463 Motor Oil Spec

Hi,

I'm limited on the synthetic motor oils I can find where I live.  Does anyone know the oil spec number that I can cross check?  I have Mobil Delvac 1 ESP readily available here, along with Castrol Edge Turbo Diesel.  Both seem to be full synthetic.

To earnestly reply to your enquiry one needs to know a lot more like engine number or code, climatic conditions where you are at etc.

From the information you have provided I gather you have a  612.965 engine. If this is correct then oil recommendations by Mercedes is varied; these vary list from MB Oil Specs sheet 228.3, 228.5, 228.51, 229.3, 229.31,  229.5,  229.51 or 229.52.

This sheet shows from the oils brands you have listed that yours is a low ash oil and both brands should be a 5W/30 oil grade.and these meet MB Oil Spec sheet  229.52.
