Steering Arm lengths and angles

My father has recently installed some white springs all round on his LWB 463 300GD. They were made by AMG and give it roughly a 2 inch lift. A clunk sound now occurs when you lock the steering over from one side to the other when the G is in motion. I was just wondering if with a spring lift you had to change some of the steering arm linkages due to the change in angles? Any ideas? Or does it have other problems....
