Hurray job done at last!! - today. Fitted new cv joints, kingpin bearings, wheel bearings, seals and gaskets.Had to make new shims for king pin adjustment play as MB do not do them anymore!!. Turnd down cv nut and 36mm socket to fit in housing(so no longer need MB wheel bearing tool) All I can say is I needed to use a grinder and presses to remove/fit new bearings - not a job to be done at lunch time in the works car park as some people on this site have said!!! At a cost of under £300 for the parts at trade price and around 24hrs labour time in total this job was fairly easy but a garage owning friend suggested that it would have cost around £900 - so well worth DIY
