Hi all

I picked up nice condition pair of leather front seats from a W463 Professional for my 90 300GD W463 replacing the old seats which are pretty beat. However, the sliding track on the new seats is slightly different - the sliding lever (to move the seat back and forward) is in the wrong place to the side instead of underneath and doesn't connect to my original frames. (photo 1)

Dimensionally, the new seats sit perfect onto the seat console (photo 2) - but the sliding lever track base doesn't match. Seat can't lock into position on existing track as the slide / adjustment leaver is on wrong place.

I notice that the original seat frames could be attached to the new seats so that I retain the original slide / adjustment track with underneath handle to move forward or back. Dimensionally they look the same and the bolt holes line up. However, I can't figure out how to seperate the old seat from the original seat frame unless I just cut them off ???

Any advice welcome..

Cheers

Derek
