Thought I would share this... while my G is still laid up, I am struggling with a Saab niggle and so invested heavily in a Phone App called torgue Pro (for Android).  All of £3.29.
For this you get a customisable App which can pull OBD engine data from the ECU (in the Saab) and display as graphs, dials or digital displays.   It connects with a Bluetooth OBD Adapter called an ELM327 which cost me about £12 on eBay (I got one supposed version 1.5, whatever the difference is).   It looks like you can customise the App to pull vendor specific codes out if you know (or can learn) the OBD spec, to enable you to get manufacturer specific codes out if needed.  You can obviously list out any fault codes and reset them too.

I particularly like the feature it has of logging GPS, Speed, Data (in fact everything you are logging) to a web site which you can view later.  A useful record of some trips perhaps.

So (a) I thought I would share this info (its not an advert - I have no connection with either product)
and (b) Wondered if anyone has tried this or similar on a G?   Obviously not a 460 model as there is no ECU, but on a 463 or later.  I assume G's have a standard OBD connector and expose at least the baseline of useful data.

Best £20 toy/tool I have bought for a while.
