2001 G55 Axle Ratios

Gentlemen,

I need to replace the axles on my G55 Non Kompressor. Am I right in saying that the standard ratios are 4.375?

I have been told that as i am replacing the axles, that it would be better to change to the 4.111 ratios axles.

Please can you guys advice the pros and cons of using the standard ratio and the 4.111 ratio axles?
