This a message received by the GWOA:

Mercedes is working on a new advertising campaign and needs your help.

First, we're interested in finding photos of people with their Mercedes for possible use in an advertisement:

Do you love your Mercedes? Do you love it so much that you've taken your picture with it? Send us a photo and we may use it in an ad! It can be a photo of you, your family or someone from the past with their favorite Mercedes.

Send the photos digitally or they may be mailed to "Love Mercedes" c/o Clear, 119 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10003 USA. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you'd like your photo to be returned.

If you prefer, Mercedes-Benz has just posted a website where they are accepting photo submissions for this project. Please direct whomever you can to mbusa.com/lovemercedes. There you will find an easy web form to submit information and upload pictures.

Second, we are also researching material for a commercial featuring real people with real vehicles and real stories to tell. There are a few specific cars we'd like to cover, but any interesting story is open to consideration! Here is our wish list:

· A G-wagon story of a vehicle in a working role for many years and still in service.

· Any stories about MB recent model police vehicles, specifically C-class. Hopefully a story where the vehicle has seen some action!

· An ML that's used by a mother with kids who play a sport avidly. Something along the lines of "this car has survived 421 soccer matches!"

· A spectacular 600 limousine from the late 1960's that's still in use.

· A recent Mercedes of any model which has been in a fairly major accident that the driver and passengers walked away from.

· High mileage! Any MB car that is running strong at 500,000+ miles.

We have sent this information to many Mercedes-Benz clubs around the world and have yet to receive stories and/or pictures about G-Wagons. I am hoping that you or someone from the club may be interested in contributing to this project. Please contact me via phone or e-mail if you have any questions, comments, suggestions and most importantly STORIES! Thank you for your time.
