HELPPPP What is this Transmission Part Called
HELPPP getting close to finishing my Gwagon 280GE automatic...We've come across a small part that is broken on the top/plastic..you would see in pictures attached that on one of the tubes the Black Plastic head is broken off (no pressure because of this). No idea what it is called. Mechanic says it regulates the forward and reverse fluids in the transmission...Any help would be a life saver in naming this part and were i could find a replacement part....thanks guys as always...pictures ATTACHED..
Oh no. That's the Flux-Capacitor. It won't go now!
You've not said where you've removed that part from?? I don't see it in the attached GA
Sorry about that!
I have been looking, but it may require the help of an auto gearbox specialist to properly recognise the part to find a replacement. These gearboxes were used on many W123/ W124 saloons/sedans and so a replacement should be relatively easy to get, once identified. I was thinking it may be part of the valve block, which controls fluid-flow, but have looked at various specialist websites and not found the part among the regular service items they sell, which include valve-parts and springs.

Thanks Arnie. It's called the flux capacitor?? The mechanic had finished replacing the seals in the transmission and was replacing the transmission back into the vehicle when he noticed this part broken on the top (black plastic)...
Any ideas were i could find one as it can't be repaired....located in the caribbean so tough to pin down parts..
Arnie thanks man for your quick repsonse and help...appreciated tony
