Wood & Pickett
Dear All,
Just joined the site as hoping for some help in the future.
I have acquired a 1981 280GE SWB. The car had a Wood and Pickett conversion done and was used as a set car for one of the james bond films so has quite an interesting history and is, i believe, quite rare.
It was left in a field for quite a while so is in a bit of a state but I am determined to get it back to its best.
Where is the best place to be looking for an exhaust, fuel line and auxiliary fuel tank? Any ideas?
Will be posting more questions as various other problems arise...there are quite a few,
regards,
Antony Clements
If you have room, your best bet is to buy another SWB as a parts/donor car. Eddie.
Welcome to the forum/website; there are many s/s exhaust centres these days take your pick, do you want originality, if not exit the exhaust to the side and avoid going over the petrol tank, any competent garage should be able to renew fuel or brake lines. The auxiliary tank is rarely available as a good quality 2nd hand spare as most have rust, ask Peter (Fixwin) he is as likely as anyone to have one. Are you able to post pics as I for one do not know about your conversion and would be interested to see it :?:
Hi Welcome to GWOA...put the Vin/chassis number WDB460......... on here and someone will get the MB history /build details of how it was when it left the factory..... enjoy your project ......
