Hand Brake Cables
Help and advice please.
My 1988 230GES manual is in need of new hand brake cables. Where is the best place to obtain these?

Hi around GBP 140 + vat for both.... they are slightly different lengths.... quote your Vin No WDB.................when ordering
you can have them made to a very high standard for about £60 less. I did this in Spain, they are as good as original.

I am going to try "the get them made up route". A bit of a hassle having to send them to be copied but Max cost £60 inc carriage.

Custom made hand brake cables now fitted.
Cost with carriage two ways £145 for the pair. Garage said they were not easy to fit as they had to modify the ends. Quality seems OK.
All in all probably not worth the hassel over MB ones.

You could try Speedy Cables in London, if you can send your old ones as a pattern, but with all the hassle why not buy genuine?
