Hello :D I've had my 1983 460 300GD for a few months now and I've learnt a lot from this forum and had a laugh at the antics. Time to join in!

Re: New G Owner

Hi Peter. A bit about my G then. Its in pretty good nic, the rear quarters have been done about 4 yrs ago. Indicated 114k miles and I have all the MOT's and a lot of historywith hand books and the broshures that caught the first owners attention. Bought it for towing my RIB, felt sorry for my Zaffy in the mud, but like the rest of you I'm well and truly hooked. Engine is very clean (have eaten lunch off it!). Been "green Laneing" guided by a biker, had a very interesting time...long distance reversing down a very steep goat path in low range, stuck in liquid mud and met a nice Farmer after a wrong turn! No Mod's other than I've fitted a central 3 point inertia seat belt in the rear as I won't put any of my 3 kids in a lap belt. Waiting to see if the MOT man is happy with it. Should be the rear seat is like armour plate!

Re: New G Owner

I've uploaded a pic to my gallery. Basicaly I used a unit off a Minibus seat that had the correct angle. Used the two lap belt points for the belt and fitted the unit via a hole drilled in the seat base. A second hole was drilled for the shoulder stap guide high on the seat back. I used all the bolts and washers from the minibus and the fit is much more substatial. Incidentaly the lap strap bolts are hard to get at, but when I managed to remove them they we only in half a turn and cross treaded! Glad I did the job!!!

It's not moved, just linked. You have to write the url of the pic between
