Tyre Pressures
Can anyone advise me what tyre pressures I should have in the following tyres I have on my 280 GE:
Michelin 4x4 205/80R 16xPC Radial.
Wagon is generally unladen and used on the road, thanks in advance for your help!
Rob
Front: 32 psi
Rear: 32 psi unladen but if you plan to drive your mother-in-law in the back ans she's as fat as mine you'd better put 36 psi in the back.
8)
Cheers!
Jesus, do you happen to know what the tyre pressures should be for 460 LWB 300GD on BF Goodrich A/T 31X10.5 X 15 R ?
Thanks
Colin
No idea.
They are not listed in any manual -they were never a factory option-
31x10.5R15 is like a 265/75R15. I would use 32/32 psi and see how the truck feels.
Unless somebody else has a better idea?
Cheers
Thanks Jesus
I couldn't find anything either, I'll try that and see how I get on.
They seem peculiar sizes but I have seen them listed in tyre adverts.
I tried looking up the BFG website but nothing about tyre pressures that I could see, in fact i couldn't find any reference to these sizes either. Is this a continental way of sizing tyres?
Regards
Colin
31 x 10.5R 15 is the imperial/US way of referencing tires. It means 31" diameter, 10.5 " wide 15" rim. It seems to be common practice here as well in 4x4 circles. My G has 255/75-15 which is roughly the same size .The manual says 32 F and R. More in the rear if there is a load.
Thanks very much Roly, that explains a lot, the tyres were on the car when I bought it and I was beginning to wonder where the previous owner had aquired them.
Thanks again gentlemen
Colin
I run 31 x 10.5x15 Pirelli Scorpion AT at 32 f&r - its seems ok
