Front Seat Removal for SWB
HELP.......before I go completely nuts!
I am trying to remove my front seats from the tilting undercarriage of my SWB so that I can remove it and re spray it.
My garage told me to remove the two Allen key bolts then slide fully back and remove the front two!
After sore knees and cut knuckles I've managed to get the back two out but they still will not slide back enough to remove the front two..........can anyone help?
Thanks

ps. Is there anyway I can get a list of other GWO's in Norfolk?
if you unbolt the whole thing from the floor [4 bolts] you should get better access
All the 460's ONLY require removal of STOP screw on inside [centre console side LARGE phillips screw head on slider rail 30secs a side and off they slide haha
Hi Tim
Im coming in late on this so perhaps you already have it sorted. I took out the full seat console - 4 bolts on floor and mind your back.
Slide seat fully forward on track and remove the 2 visible allen head bolts. On the inner side of the slide track there is a phillips head screw that limits the track slide. Its hard to see but a bit of down on your knees and you should see it. Remove this screw and slide the seat fully back to expose the second two allen head bolts.
Depending on your doner seats, i had to swop out the seat base tracks to marry up to the existing 463 seat console. Ive heard of guys swopping out seats from a 190 but my experience is that you need the matching seat tracks. Possible to modify but only if you can use an angle grinder and heavy duty drill.
Good luck
Derek
Thanks,
I've though about doing that but it still doesn't gove any better access to the front two Allen key bolts.
Why do that make thinks so bloody hard?
Where about are you in Wales my sister has just move to be near us in Norfolk from Monmouth/Symonds Yat......I know they'll only on the cusp of Wales :-)
