WANTED – Early W463 Designo / G500 / G55 Steering Wheel (2002–2004)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a very specific original Mercedes steering wheel for my 1998 G500 SWB project.

I've been searching for quite some time and have found many similar wheels, but none are the exact version I'm after.

The wheel I'm looking for is EXACTLY like the one in the photo below.

Required characteristics:

- Original Mercedes / Designo wood & leather wheel

- Smooth airbag cover (NO horizontal seam/line across the centre)

- Four buttons on each side, grouped together (as shown)

- Rounded lower airbag section (not the later flatter design)

- Walnut wood (not birdseye or carbon)

- Complete wheel preferred (wheel + airbag), although I would also consider the airbag or wheel separately.

NOT looking for:

 Later wheel with the horizontal line across the airbag

 Flat-bottom AMG wheel

 Carbon fibre versions

 Three-button layouts

 Later separated button designs

I've attached a reference photo showing the exact wheel I'm trying to find.

If anyone has one for sale, knows a dismantler with one, or has seen one recently, I'd really appreciate the lead.

Happy to pay for the right wheel and international shipping if necessary.
