China Blue 460

FOR RELUCTANT SALE. Why am I selling? We did fewer than 600 (hundred) miles last year and look to do fewer still this year.

O.K... big breath... here goes... 460 SWB. 1988 China Blue. Glass out respray December 2015. LED headlamps September 2016. Audi 80 front seats.

1995 OM606 (turboed but not intercooled) professionally stripped and refurbished 3000 miles ago as a precaution because the mileage was unknown.Yes - they are astonishing engines: no damage found anywhere. Crankshaft polished. New pistons, liners, injectors, glowplugs June 2020. (During lockdown.)

4 very good BFG/ATs September 2016. New (covered and unused) BFG/AT spare June 2021. Shock mounts replaced March 2017. Shock absorbers replaced March 2017. Rear springs replaced March 2021. Front hub seals and bearings replaced April 2021. Diesel filter, engine oil and filter replaced annually. Transmission oils replaced Autumn 2020. Plastic fuel tank. Waxoyled every two years.

Rear half of exhaust, including flexipipe and silencer box, stainless steel. GWOA member since 1999. GWR member since 2016.

Ah Nick.  It's part of the family.  But sometimes they have to move on to new homes.

I think the pricing is spot on, give or take.  I am sure you will sell fast (location likely the biggest hurdle!)

As you say, I think that the pricing is honest. Again, as you say, we are indeed a fair way from anywhere. e.g. Glasgow is four hours down the road. That said, we would be quite happy to welcome adventurous travellers to Ferinish, Drimnin, PA80 5XZ (B849) or take a run out to meet up with potential punters. We will be thoroughly sorry to see SKZ 4130 leave us but we have to be realistic.
