Account Activation
It appears that a number of people who have registered to use the GWOA forums have been unable to access their accounts to post messages.
This is largely due to accounts not being properly activated.
In order to properly activate your account:
- 1) You must supply a valid email address.
2) A confirmation email will then be sent to you
3) You must click on the link in this email to activate your forum membership.
4) Further, if you are older than 13 (and I assume you are if you have an interest in Gs!) make sure that you have selected the option that says you are older than 13!
Happy posting,
the GWOA Forum Team
REMINDER: If you are a GWOA member you can have your privileges for access to the "members only" section of the GWOA forum activated. Just follow the instructions above.
Happy posting
Can't access the members-only area even though I seem to be logged in (name appears in bottom right of home page screen) - tells me that I need to be in the Members Group. Activation seemed to go OK, and my password works..
Thanks, Mike
The members only area is for paid up members of the GWOA. If you've paid your £25 and do not have access it means that the membership secretary doesn't have your real name together with your forum user name to know who you are online.
You will need to let him know.
I used the email form on the "contact" section of the home page but have not had a response. Is there a better way to contact the secretary to enable me to access the Members-only areas?
Thanks, Mike
try sending an email to
membership[at]gwoa[dot]co[dot]uk
I joined and paid last Thursday but have received nothing in return. The PayPal transaction has cleared my bank. I've tried logging out and back in, but still can't access the member areas. I never received a confirmation email either.
What needs to be done to initiate my membership?
Thanks.
Richard
Found my timely welcome email in the spam bucket. sigh.....
Sorry for the false alarm.

Hi I don't have access to the members area of the website, any help would be appreciated. Ray
Thanks, I can now access the members area. Ray
I'm not sure what code you are referring to.
You would of had to supply your own password when registering. The link in the email only activates your account so you can then log in with your user created username and password.
