I'm after a short wheel base g wagon. I'm in the midlands. Please let me know if you have a keeper you want aren't using that you want to go to a forever home
Ok I appreciate your comments. I'd like a 463 ideally automatic not bothered about petrol or diesel. Doesn't have to be a short wheel base but I don't want one with 200k miles as I'm not practical so work would have to be done by my a merc specialist
Agree with some of the previous posters you need to define exactly what you want, a 460 or a 463, petrol or diesel, auto or manual, and of course colour as not all are great and changing colour is pricey. Then you need to set a budget, good 463's are expensive and a 460 basket case will never be worth the work in restoration. Good luck
I have a short wheelbase 460 that I wish to sell. Originally a 300GD but now fitted with a OM602 turbo intercooled engine and five speed manual box. It has MOT til November 2021, seven seats, three inch body lift and quite a few other bits. It has just had some welding done for the MOT and £800 spent on the steering. It is a rolling restoration and will need panels and welding to make it look pretty. It has never been a "sit on the drive polish and admire" G. It has been used and enjoyed for the purpose for which it was built. Going places other makes can only dream of. If you are interested and into a bit of work leave a message on 01761 411667.
Are you considering 'any' good SWB? I think you need to indicate budget/age/model you are interested in.
Entry level 230GE SWB, 80's is one level. V8 G500 463 is another. With a scale of 5k to 50k between them.
Petrol or Diesel may not be a consideration (they are both quite thirsty). Body condition (and chassis) will be, especially for an older one of which there are quite a few.
